- Austrosec is a new Austrian association with the goal to foster security awareness in the Austrian public. OpenLocks joins the effort at the Austrosec Bildungsforum with a Lockpicking stand to educate about lock security.

- At the BSides Vienna (Ninjacon 11) conference in Vienna at the 18th of June 2011 OpenLocks will represent the Austrian Lockpicking sport with a stand where everybody can join to have relaxed Lockpicking session together. Happy to see you there!

- At the 16th of April the new Youth- and Sports centre of Krummnussbaum will have its open day. Thomas Hackner will represent OpenLocks with some picking and having fun between 2pm and 4pm. See you there!
- OpenLocks is an official assication! - 18.03.2011
- Last summer OpenLocks got grown up and is an official association according to the Austrian law! With this development some changes will occur in the near future, but all very positive for the Lockpicking sport in Austria. In the upcoming weeks we will publish them subsequently and the next good news of today is that we now have a fix core team that is already working on the implementation of our newest ideas!
- Security Forum 2011 and Lockpicking Meeting - 18.03.2011
- Thomas Hackner is going to give a talk about "Physical Security in IT-Security" at the Security Forum 2011 in Hagenberg on the 6th of April. Everybody is welcome to join the conference and to discuss about the importance of physical security in the overall security concept of a company. In addition, on the 7th of April our next Lockpicking meeting will be held in the students pub in Hagenberg.
- Picking at the nut festival - 01.10.2010
- OpenLocks will present the Lockpicking sport in Lower Austria for the first time. Everybody with sportsmanship and good intention is welcome to join us at the nut festival in Krummnussbaum (like \'Crooked Nut Tree\') between 1 and 4 pm. See you there!
- Lockpicking at the open day in Hagenberg - 08.03.2010
- Upcoming Friday, on the 12th of March, OpenLocks.at together with substitutes from the lecture \"Physical Security\" will represent the Lockpicking sport and will search for new recruits. :) The event is organised by Evelyn Schallauer and Thomas Hackner and OpenLocks.at will be represented mainly by Benedikt Vamos and Sebastian Neuner.
- Physical Security Workshop at the Security Forum 2010 - 14.02.2010
- The Security Forum 2010, an Austrian security event, will take place in Hagenberg, Upper Austria, from 24th to 25th of April. While the first day will be filled with excellent security talks, the second day will contain three workshops. The workshop \'Physical Security\' is held by OpenLocks.at members Evelyn Schallauer, Thomas Hackner and Dr. Kurt Hickisch, a former police officer. The workshop will contain topics ranging from housebreaking to circumventing lock mechanisms.

- On the 12th of June OpenLocks.at will talk at a Lockpicking-Workshop organised by the group Back-Space. OpenLocks.at will be represented by Thomas Hackner, who is starting his talk about 6 pm in the Clubhaus Servus in Linz.

- On the 11th of October, our members Evelyn Schallauer, Thomas Ledermüller, Emanuel Mathis and Thomas Hackner will represent the lockpicking sport at the FH-Day of the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria, Campus Hagenberg. These four members will be available from 14:00 to 16:00 o\'clock and will show how lockicking works in the name of the study "Computer- and Media Security / Secure Information Systems".

- Aljosha Judmayer and Thomas Hackner will represent Openlocks.at at the IT-SeCX security conference in St. Poelten, Lower Austria. These two Openlocks.at members will talk about physical security in our daily life. First the attendees will learn how attackers break every day security systems and then they will be told how to protect against such attacks. More details can be found on the IT-SeCX homepage, the talk is called \"(Hacking) Physical Security - in a Nutshell\".

- Openlocks.at will attend the Security Forum 2008 in Hagenberg. There we will have an information point where we will represent the Austrian Lockpicking sport and we will talk about physical security. The Security Forum is being organized by the students group Hagenberger Kreis and is a one-day event with talks about current security topics.
